Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to provide premium technical support and drive design-in opportunities for server, networking, and AI power management applications.

You will work with product applications engineers, perform lab testing, validate solutions, and compare Infineon offerings against competitors, collaborating with sales and marketing to develop compelling value propositions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in power electronics with emphasis on analog/digital LV DC-DC
• Knowledge on DC-DC/AC-DC design, evaluation, and testing on PC/Server/Switch/Telecom mother boards or power supplies.
• Electronic system design including conception, block diagrams, schematic capture, PCB layout, and debugging
• Experience using development tools including schematic capture, PCB layout, electrical stimulation, and thermal simulationMultiphase Vcore and Memory a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide premium technical support leading to design wins and ongoing product support; including validation reports.
• Work with product applications engineers to provide accurate, timely, and quality responses to customer technical support requests.
• Use knowledge of targeted applications and systems to recommend application solutions, design ideas and products to the customer design team.
• Work in the lab with test equipment to verify customer issues, debug, validate solutions.
• Be knowledgeable of competitor solutions and how Infineon products and solutions compare and contrast to them.
• Collaborate with sales, FAEs and marketing teams to develop value propositions to promote relevant application strategies as appropriate to support customer design-in.
• Proficient knowledge of system solution design decisions and trade-offs (including magnetics, capacitors, and control loop) and make recommendations on product selection for the desired cost/benefit ratio.
