Job summary

Infineon Technologies in Austin, TX is seeking a Power Applications Engineer to drive design wins for power management solutions across enterprise computing, networking, telecom, and AI applications. You will blend hands-on design work with customer interaction, from concept through validation, in a fast-paced customer-facing role.

The role requires strong fundamentals in power electronics, with a focus on LV DC-DC, analog/digital design, and lab verification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in power electronics with emphasis on analog/digital LV DC-DC.
• Knowledge on DC-DC/AC-DC design, evaluation, and testing on PC/Server/Switch/Telecom motherboards or power supplies.
• Electronic system design including block diagrams, schematic capture, PCB layout, and debugging.
• Experience using development tools including schematic capture, PCB layout, electrical stimulation, and thermal simulation.

Responsibilities

• Provide premium technical support leading to design wins and ongoing support for products and customer programs, including schematic/layout reviews, board bring ups, tuning/validation, and reporting.
• Collaborate with product applications engineers to provide accurate, timely responses to customer technical requests.
• Recommend application solutions, design ideas, and products to customer design teams.
• Work in the lab with test equipment to verify issues, debug, validate solutions, and ideation.
• Be knowledgeable of competitor solutions and how Infineon products compare.
• Collaborate with sales, FAEs, and marketing to develop value propositions supporting customer design-ins.
