Job summary

NV5, Inc. seeks an As Needed Permit Coordinator to manage residential and commercial permit requests across Florida.

You will support the Private Provider Department, complete jurisdictional permitting documents, and maintain accurate permit records for multiple ongoing projects. Ideal candidates have 5+ years permitting experience, understand agency requirements, and are proficient with Microsoft Office and tracking software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of permitting experience within the utility, electrical, construction or civil industry.
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of agency requirements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and other relevant software such as tracking software and database systems.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for residential and commercial permit requests for multiple projects across the State of Florida.
• Provide administrative support to the Private Provider Department.
• Complete all permitting documents as required by each jurisdiction.
• Keep accurate records of all permitting documents, plans, and permit submittals.
• Assist with processing of permit requests and submittal of permit packages to respective agencies.
• Track, report, and update permit status to clients and project team regularly.
• Assist “as needed” with scheduling and resulting inspections.
• Assist “as needed” with the completion of final paperwork.
• Learn and apply new software tools or systems as needed.
• Download and upload documents and client deliverables.
