Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Field Engineer for the Power Delivery Services Group to support and complete the full cycle of field coordination issues. You will collaborate with staff at all levels, including team members, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.

Responsibilities include leading pre-construction support, coordinating submittals and RFIs, and ensuring proper document organization and distribution on site. Strong teamwork and a professional attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management.
• Previous related internship experience is helpful.
• Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple tasks.
• Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
• Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, and analytical skills.
• Positive and professional attitude and customer service skills.
• Current driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-construction support and coordinate field activities.
• Lead submittal and RFI processes for defined work using PMA and Project Connect.
• Coordinate DFW prep meetings and inspections.
• Assist in drafting subcontracts and purchase agreements.
• Manage field drawings, turnover documentation, and project closeout.
