Job summary

Entergy Arkansas is seeking a Student, Intern for Power Delivery to support Distribution Operations and team projects. The role emphasizes safety, CI and teamwork while aiding in grid reliability and asset management activities.

Pending completion of a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum GPA of 2.8. Position is onsite with up to 25% travel in Entergy service territories.

Qualifications

  • General electrical or mechanical engineering knowledge.
  • Self-starter with strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to Distribution Engineering day-to-day tasks.
  • Travel to work sites within Entergy service territories.
  • Support the development, delivery and deployment of Management System components.
  • Develop and monitor observation tools, indicators and actions for compliance.
  • Assist in design tasks using asset-management databases and GDT.
  • Prepare operational one-line drawings and assist in estimating prices.
  • Manage projects to be delivered to construction; participate in planning calls.
  • Travel may be required; work on special projects to improve grid reliability.
