Job summary

Entergy is seeking a Student Intern in Distribution Engineering for Summer 2027 in Hot Springs, AR. You will support day-to-day engineering tasks, travel to service sites, and help deploy management-system components to multiple business units.

You should be enrolled in an engineering program (mechanical or electrical preferred) with a minimum 2.8 GPA and strong MS Office skills. This onsite role offers exposure to planning, design, and grid reliability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate program in engineering.
• Sophomore or higher class at time of hire.
• Preferred majors: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist Distribution Engineering day-to-day tasks as part of a team.
• Travel to various Entergy sites to support projects.
• Support development and deployment of Management System components.
• Develop and monitor observation tools and actions for compliance.
• Assist in design using asset management databases and GDT.
• Perform design activities from project scoping and site visits.
• Create operational one-line drawings and validate pricing.
• Manage projects delivered to construction and participate in planning calls.
• Support data mining and reporting for analytics and engineering analyses.
