Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Distribution Designer to join our hybrid team in Phoenix, AZ, delivering critical power infrastructure projects. You will develop 3D models, drawings, and BIM deliverables for substation, transmission, and distribution designs, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate, high-quality outputs.

The role requires 5+ years of CAD/drafting experience, strong AutoCAD and MicroStation skills, and a solid BIM understanding.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CAD, drafting, or utility design experience.
• Experience with power delivery, transmission, distribution, or substation projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Strong understanding of BIM, 3D modeling, and design coordination.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D models, drawings, layouts, and engineering documentation.
• Support substation, transmission, and distribution design projects.
• Coordinate designs with multidisciplinary teams through BIM and 3D model reviews.
• Maintain project models, annotations, and digital deliverables.
• Utilize AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other BIM tools to produce high-quality designs.
