Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking a BIM Detailer to support the Building Information Modeling (BIM) and VDC coordination across electrical infrastructure projects.

You will work with project managers, engineers, and field teams to develop and maintain accurate 3D models, drawings, and construction documentation for constructability and efficiency. The role emphasizes collaboration in a fast-paced environment, applying BIM standards and best practices to deliver high-quality project outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a BIM, VDC, or drafting role, preferably within electrical or construction environments.
• Strong proficiency with BIM software and coordination workflows.
• Experience delivering 3D models, construction drawings, and clash-free coordination.

Responsibilities

• Support BIM coordination and clash detection processes.
• Develop and maintain 3D models and construction drawings for electrical infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, and field teams to resolve design conflicts.
• Assist with model integration, updates, and version control across project phases.
• Generate and review 2D drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication details.
• Communicate technical concepts and model changes in coordination meetings.
