Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking a BIM Detailer to lead and support the Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) coordination across electrical infrastructure projects.

You will work with Project Managers, engineers, and field teams to develop, coordinate, and maintain 3D models, drawings, and construction documentation to ensure constructability and alignment. This role requires 3+ years in BIM/VDC/drafting, proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in BIM, VDC, or drafting role.
• Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Inventor, and related BIM tools.
• Experience with 3D models, construction drawings, and coordination workflows.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work in a team.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Support BIM coordination and clash detection processes.
• Develop and maintain 3D models and construction drawings for electrical projects.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, and field teams to resolve design conflicts.
• Assist with model integration, updates, and version control across project phases.
• Generate and review 2D drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication details.
• Participate in coordination meetings and communicate model changes.
