Job summary
GE Vernova’s Power Conversion internship in Findlay Township, PA offers exposure to MV/LV power converters, motors, transformers and control systems for naval, marine, and oil & gas applications. You will contribute to advanced power electronics, switching, and cooling system developments as part of the Advanced Concepts team.
The program emphasizes safety, quality, and hands-on development of software, models, and control drawings, with opportunities to learn real-time tools and test
Qualifications
- Enrolled in an accredited engineering program and pursuing Electrical/Mechanical/Computer Engineering.
- US work authorization without sponsorship for an extended period.
- Familiar with coding and programming tools.
- Experience with MATLAB or similar software (Python, etc).
- Experience creating models with AutoCAD or CAE tools.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all designs foster safety, quality, and value.
- Review detailed technical specifications for power converters.
- Develop and deliver the base software package for typical project configurations.
- Learn artifacts for power converters including software, control specs, and drawings.
- Create models of power electronic controls for power quality and stability studies.
- Learn HMI/Control/Process coding and test planning.
