Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) invites you to join the Integrated Command & Communications Center (MICC) as a Business Operations Intern. The program provides hands-on exposure to performance management, process improvement, Power BI dashboard development, and cross-functional projects across Rail, Bus, Safety, and Capital Delivery.

This temporary internship offers hands-on experience for college and graduate students, with assignments across departments such as

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent; must be attending an accredited college/university pursuing a relevant degree.
• Must have completed freshman year and be entering sophomore year; GPA minimum 2.8.
• Internship rotations depend on major and department; supervised by an executive or designee.

Responsibilities

• Compile, review and analyze data; input and correct data for reports.
• Research data for management, operations, and administrative reports and use data to complete assignments.
• Produce work products such as presentations, reports, and data visuals for assigned department.
• Review reports to identify problems and propose solutions under guidance.
• Participate in training sessions and department meetings to gain exposure to transit functions.
