Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) invites students to join the Digital Modernization Business Operations team for a transit-focused internship. Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent; enrolled in an accredited college or university
• Intern must be aligned with academic/functional requirements of the position
• Must have completed freshman year and be entering sophomore year
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8
• Progressive internship opportunities across multiple summers require favorable prior performance

Responsibilities

• Compile, review and analyze data; verify and input data for reports
• Assist in preparing management, operations, technical and administrative reports
• Produce work products such as presentations, reports and data visuals
• Review reports and suggest improvements under supervisor guidance
• Attend training and participate in departmental meetings to gain exposure to transit functions
• Lead or participate in departmental meetings and working sessions
