Job summary

Ascend Federal Credit Union is seeking a Business Intelligence Reporting Specialist to develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that deliver actionable insights for decision-makers. You will translate business requirements into clear visuals, validate outputs, and support governance standards.

The role focuses on collaboration with Data & Analytics teams, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, user guidance, and effective self-service analytics across departments.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience developing reports, dashboards, or data visualizations in Power BI or a similar BI platform.
• 1-3 years experience validating data accuracy and troubleshooting reporting issues, preferably within a financial institution.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI Service, or cloud-based BI/reporting environments is preferred.
• Experience supporting report users, developing user guidance, or providing training on BI tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports, dashboards, scorecards, and related reporting solutions using approved semantic models, curated datasets, and governed data sources.
• Translate documented business requirements into accurate, user-friendly visualizations and reporting solutions that support operational visibility and business decision-making.
• Validate report outputs, perform testing, troubleshoot reporting issues, and support ongoing maintenance to ensure data accuracy, usability, and report performance.
