Job summary

ECS is seeking a versatile Power BI Developer and Technical Requirements Analyst to balance development work with analytical responsibilities across the organization. This dual role focuses on data visualization initiatives and business analysis needs.

You will design, develop, and maintain dashboards, data models, and data transformations while collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective visuals and formal specs. A DoD environment is preferred and U.S.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to pass a Public Trust investigation.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field.
• 3+ years of Power BI and dashboards development.
• 3+ years of technical requirements analysis experience.
• Experience gathering and documenting technical requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Translate complex concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Create data models and optimize performance for enterprise reporting.
• Build data transformations with Power Query.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into visuals.
• Implement and maintain data governance and security in Power BI.
• Document technical specifications and development processes.
• Provide training and end users on Power BI tools and reports.
• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
• Conduct gap analysis and propose solutions to meet organizational needs.
• Create functional and technical specifications documents.
• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and stakeholder meetings.
• Validate requirements with technical teams and business users.
• Support testing activities and ensure requirements are met in final deliverables.
• Maintain requirements traceability matrices and documentation.
