Job summary

TechWish in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Power BI Developer with 3+ years of BI experience and 2+ years building dashboards in Power BI. You will convert WebFOCUS and Mainframe FOCUS queries to T-SQL, create dataflows, and collaborate with IT to optimize data models.

This is an onsite role with local candidates only. Responsibilities include analyzing data environments, developing a reporting roadmap, improving existing reports with business users, automating data transformations, and training

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in Business Intelligence and 2+ years creating Power BI dashboards.
• Experience with IBM DB2 databases.
• Strong SQL skills and data governance knowledge.
• Familiarity with Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, and Master Data Management concepts.
• Experience converting legacy queries (WebFOCUS/Mainframe FOCUS) to Power BI data models.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the current data environment and data structures to determine transformations for dashboards.
• Develop an overall reporting roadmap with management.
• Improve existing reports based on current business needs with business users.
• Automate data transformations to reduce reliance on pivot tables and Excel analysis.
• Convert WebFOCUS/Mainframe FOCUS queries to T-SQL.
• Create database views and stored procedures to facilitate Power BI reports.
• Create dataflows in Power BI.
• Analyze financial data to improve data models of financial systems.
• Administer the Power BI workspace.
