Job summary

Randstad USA in Tallahassee, FL seeks a Power BI Developer to design, build, and govern enterprise analytics using Power BI and Azure Synapse. You will implement secure access, data models, and scalable dashboards for regulatory data environments.

The role requires 5+ years BI/analytics experience, 3+ years Power BI at scale, and strong collaboration with data engineers and InfoSec. This contract position reports to the OIT program teams and adheres to CJIS/HIPAA policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required or equivalent work experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business intelligence or analytics, including 3+ years building Power BI solutions at enterprise scale.
• Expert DAX and strong Power Query/M skills with deep tabular modeling and SQL across complex datasets.
• Experience implementing RLS, OLS, and secure sharing in CJIS/HIPAA environments.
• Experience with Deployment Pipelines, Azure DevOps, and GCC license management; knowledge of Premium capacities.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, secure, and operationalize analytic solutions on Power BI and Azure Synapse to deliver trusted insights from the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
• Design star-schema tabular models, define facts and dimensions, and ensure auditable data structures.
• Develop performant DAX measures and reusable templates for enterprise reporting.
• Build accessible Power BI reports with advanced features and parameterized views for operational and leadership audiences.
• Implement robust Power Query transformations and maintain data lineage and cleansing standards.
• Support paginated reporting and ensure governance, security, and compliance with CJIS/HIPAA policies.
• Use Deployment Pipelines and Azure DevOps for DEV/PROD promotions, CI/CD, and automations.
• Collaborate with data owners, stewards, PMO, and InfoSec; provide coaching to Super Users and report developers.
• Maintain documentation, data dictionaries, lineage notes, and Purview catalog entries.
• Publish governance guides and SOPs; contribute to enterprise data catalogs.
