Job summary

Cardworks is seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise reporting and analytics solutions. You will work with Power BI, DAX, SQL, data modeling, Azure and AWS to deliver scalable dashboards.

The role requires 8–10 years BI/Data Analytics experience, strong communication, and collaboration with stakeholders. Remote, contract-based, 3 months with extension possible; FTC, rate 70–75 USD per hour.

Qualifications

Mphasis is seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise reporting and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, SQL, data modeling, Azure, and AWS cloud platforms, with the ability to deliver scalable, high-performing, and business-focused dashboards and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards.
• Develop and optimize data models, datasets, and semantic layers.
• Create advanced DAX calculations, KPIs, and Power Query transformations.
• Integrate data from multiple data sources including SQL Server, Azure, AWS, APIs, Excel, and SharePoint.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions.
• Optimize report performance, dataset refreshes, and query execution.
• Implement Power BI security, governance, and best practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, data engineers, and project teams.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Gateway.
• Expertise in DAX, Power Query (M Language), SQL, and data modeling.
• Strong understanding of Data Warehousing, BI, and Analytics concepts.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure services such as Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Synapse Analytics, and Data Lake.
• Experience with AWS services
• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric is highly preferred.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree/engineering in Computer Science, Information Technology
• 8 to 10 years of overall BI/Data Analytics experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
