Job summary

Tenarai - LATAM is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer / BI Analyst with 5-8+ years of hands-on experience to drive data visualization, semantic modeling, and business intelligence for orthodontics and healthcare initiatives.

You will work with clinical, practice management, and CRM data to build enterprise-grade Power BI solutions and empower decision-makers with actionable insights across patient, practice, and treatment domains.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of hands-on Power BI development and BI analysis experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Copilot in Power BI and AI-driven workflows for faster DAX authoring and automated insights.
• Expert-level mastery in Power BI Desktop/Service, DAX, deployment pipelines, workspaces, and gateways.
• Deep expertise in Star Schema design, dimensional modeling, and data modeling for enterprise BI solutions.
• Strong SQL querying skills with experience querying Snowflake data warehouses.
• Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and data governance.
• Experience with multi-system integrations (Cloud 9, OrthoFi) is a plus.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will work with clinical, practice management, and CRM data (including systems like Cloud 9 and OrthoFi) to build enterprise-grade Power BI solutions and empower decision-makers with actionable insights across patient, practice, and treatment domains.

• Dashboard & Report Engineering: Design, build, and maintain scalable Power BI dashboards tailored to healthcare and orthodontic business use cases.
• AI-Assisted BI Development: Leverage Microsoft Copilot in Power BI and AI tools to accelerate report generation, DAX creation, quick summaries, and semantic model enrichment.
• Advanced Data Modeling: Architect reusable, optimized Power BI semantic models utilizing Star Schema and dimensional modeling best practices.
• Complex DAX & Metric Definition: Write optimized DAX measures, calculated columns, and complex analytical calculations to establish robust, cross-domain KPIs.
• Data Integration & SQL: Connect Power BI to Snowflake and diverse business applications; write and tune advanced SQL queries for extraction and analysis.
• Architecture & Performance Optimization: Manage dataflows, deployment pipelines, and workspace management while tuning dataset refresh performance, DAX queries, and hybrid storage models (Import, DirectQuery, Composite).
• Security & Governance: Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and strict access controls to ensure the safe, compliant handling of sensitive healthcare data (PHI/PII).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with data engineers and business stakeholders to document KPI business logic, define data lineage, and ensure single-source-of-truth accuracy.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

• Experience: 5-8+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI development and business intelligence analysis.
• AI-Assisted Development: Experience or proficiency using Microsoft Copilot in Power BI and AI-driven workflows for faster DAX authoring, automated insights, narrative summaries, and report creation.
• Power BI & DAX Mastery: Expert-level mastery in Power BI Desktop/Service, advanced DAX calculations, deployment pipelines, workspaces, and gateways.
• Data Modeling & Architecture: Deep expertise in Star Schema design, dimensional modeling, and configuring Import, DirectQuery, and Composite Models.
• SQL & Snowflake: Strong SQL querying skills with proven experience integrating and querying Snowflake data warehouses.
• Security & Compliance: Demonstrated experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and working under strict data governance standards.
• Source Systems: Experience working with multi-system integrations (experience with domain-specific tools like Cloud 9 or OrthoFi is a huge plus).
• UI/UX Design: Strong focus on intuitive data visualization, clean dashboard layouts, and performance optimization.
