NCMS – National Center for Manufacturing Sciences is seeking a Business Operations Specialist to build and optimize Power BI dashboards, transform data from multiple sources, and deliver clear, actionable insights for stakeholders. The role supports diverse projects, requires collaboration across units, and emphasizes data integrity and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

Must be a US citizen.
Must be able to obtain government security clearance.
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless legally exempt.
Hybrid schedule: three days in the office, two days remote.
Degree or 5 years admin/tech experience.
Proficient in pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas, and data analysis tools.
Experience building interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI, writing DAX for columns/measures, and Power Query for data transformation.

Responsibilities

Maintain and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports to support decision making.
Collaborate with business units to collect data and understand processes.
Run queries in Power BI to fulfill data requests.
Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports.
Extract and clean data from sources (Excel, SharePoint, Google Analytics, SQL).
Write DAX measures and calculated columns for business logic.
Monitor data quality and troubleshoot issues in reports/datasets.
Document data models, workflows, and report logic.
Assist in ad-hoc analysis and data requests.
Support project meetings with notes and process documentation.
Contribute to quarterly and final project reports.
