Job Title: Power Apps / Platform Architect
Location: Austin TX (All 5 days onsite)
Duration: 12 months
ROLE SUMMARY
Lead the architecture and delivery of enterprise low-code solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform. You will define the technical blueprint across Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and AI capabilities, guide development teams, and make sure every solution is secure, governed, and scalable. Within 90 days, you will have assessed the current environment, set architecture and governance standards, and delivered your first approved solution designs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise Power Platform solutions, setting technical direction across Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse.
- Design Canvas and Model-Driven apps using Power Fx, reusable components, and role-based security that scale across business units.
- Architect Dataverse data models, security roles, and integrations with SharePoint Online, SQL, and line-of-business systems.
- Build automated workflows and custom connectors, applying error handling, retry logic, and event-driven patterns for production reliability.
- Embed AI into business processes using Copilot Studio agents and AI Builder models for document processing and generative answers.
- Integrate solutions with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Key Vault, and REST APIs, securing access with OAuth 2.0 and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Establish platform governance, including environment strategy, DLP policies, CoE Toolkit monitoring, and managed-solution ALM through Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops, translate requirements into technical designs, lead architecture reviews, and mentor developers and citizen makers.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of software or enterprise application development experience, including 5+ years architecting solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Hands-on expertise in Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, and Dataverse.
- Working experience with Copilot Studio, AI Builder, and Power BI.
- Experience integrating with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure DevOps, and REST APIs, with proficiency in C#, SQL, and JSON.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 (SharePoint Online, Teams) and Entra ID authentication, including OAuth 2.0.
- Proven ability to communicate with stakeholders and lead technical teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Microsoft PL-600 (Power Platform Solution Architect Expert) certification; PL-400 or PL-200 also valued.
- Experience with the Power Platform CoE Toolkit, DLP strategy, and CI/CD for managed solutions.
- Familiarity with Dynamics 365, PCF controls, and SPFx for pro-code extensions.
- Background delivering solutions in regulated or public-sector environments (HIPAA, GDPR).
- Exposure to Azure OpenAI and Cognitive Services for AI-enabled solutions.
