Job Summary
STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Solution Architect Lead on behalf of our client in Washington, DC to provide hands‑on technical architecture and engineering leadership for a large‑scale platform built on Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Azure.
The ideal candidate will lead solution architecture, platform engineering, AI/agentic development, security, cloud integration, DevOps, and continuous platform improvement. This role requires a highly hands‑on technical leader with experience designing and implementing enterprise‑scale, mission‑critical solutions in regulated or government environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Own solution and platform architecture, including Dataverse data models, solution design, environment strategy, integrations, and technical standards.
- Design and secure integrations between Microsoft Government Community Cloud (GCC) and commercial Azure environments.
- Implement Azure identity, managed identities, service principals, Key Vault, private networking, and API gateway solutions.
- Lead AI and agentic development using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and Copilot Studio.
- Design and implement RAG/grounding, tool calling, agent orchestration, prompt engineering, AI evaluation, and human‑in‑the‑loop workflows.
- Establish responsible AI, data protection, audit, and security controls for regulated environments.
- Lead application and platform security, including least privilege, threat modeling, secure SDLC, vulnerability management, and compliance.
- Manage Dynamics 365 and Power Platform release cycles, upgrades, testing, and continuous improvement.
- Drive DevOps maturity through Azure DevOps CI/CD, source control, automated testing, and deployment pipelines.
- Own data architecture, interoperability, data quality, and reporting requirements.
- Troubleshoot complex performance, integration, security, solution‑layering, and platform issues.
- Communicate technical architecture and recommendations to executive leadership, technical stakeholders, and external partners.
- Mentor technical resources and support knowledge transfer across teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
- 16+ years of progressive IT experience.
- 8+ years of solution or enterprise architecture experience with enterprise‑scale, mission‑critical systems.
- 7+ years of hands‑on Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE, Dataverse, and Power Platform experience.
- 5+ years of lead/principal architect experience across full D365 implementation lifecycles.
- 4+ years of Microsoft Azure architecture and hands‑on development experience.
- 2+ years of production generative AI/agentic development using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, or Copilot Studio.
- 2+ years of experience with RAG/grounding, tool calling, agent orchestration, and AI evaluation.
- 5+ years of application security experience in regulated environments.
- 2+ years of experience with government cloud environments such as GCC, GCC High, or Azure Government.
- 5+ years of pro‑code D365 extensibility using C#/.NET plug‑ins, custom APIs, and PCF controls.
- 2+ years of cross‑cloud or cross‑tenant architecture experience.
- 4+ years of Power Platform ALM, solution layering, and Azure DevOps CI/CD.
- 3+ years of experience supporting production systems through vendor platform release cycles.
- Strong executive communication and technical leadership skills.
Required Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Customer Service (MB-230)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
Preferred Qualifications
- TOGAF 9/10 certification
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)
- CISSP or CCSP certification
- Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100)
- Experience with Health and Human Services, child welfare, Medicaid/MMIS, integrated eligibility, behavioral health, or public health systems.
- Experience with federal child welfare reporting, including AFCARS, NCANDS, NYTD, CFSR, or Title IV-E.
- Experience with Power Pages/portal architecture and external‑user security.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory, and Power BI.
- Public‑sector or government delivery experience.
- Experience mentoring technical teams and transferring knowledge to internal stakeholders.
