Job summary

Crenlo in Greeneville, TN is seeking a highly skilled Painter Leader to set up and run paint orders, troubleshoot issues, and train Painter 1 and Painter 2. The role requires strong knowledge of paint booths and ability to coordinate with all departments to ensure smooth production flow.

The incumbent will train staff, maintain FPY above 90%, and perform paint kitchen setup and equipment repairs as needed, while leading daily housekeeping and 6S efforts to sustain an organized work area.

Qualifications

• Must have experience operating in a paint environment and training junior staff.
• Forklift license required.
• Ability to read and follow standard work procedures and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up paint booths for various color runs and orders.
• Train Painter 1 and Painter 2 and coordinate with departments.
• Ensure FPY > 90% and maintain house standards.
• Perform maintenance on painting equipment as needed.
• Participate in 6S and daily housekeeping.

Job description

Position Summary

Highest-level painter, able to set up and run any order, troubleshoots problems, and repairs paint related equipment. Responsible for training Painter 1 and Painter 2.

Incumbentis able toeffectively train, coordinate and communicate with all departments.

Key Position Results

• Cross trained in 100% of every part of the paint process
• Can perform initial paint tech duties
• Maintains FPY >90%
• Complete full training of all new painters
• Can perform touch – up duties

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Understands that the utilization of fresh air hoodsmust be used at all timeswhen painting in a booth or inside of our paint kitchen areas.
• Must demonstrate and maintain standard work guidelines while meeting established cycle times.
• Must understand and perform the paint flush process.
• Must participate in preventative maintenance activities.
• Must participate in daily housekeeping and 6s projects to maintain an orderly work area.
• Mustinsureproper lighting and airflow parameters are met prior to painting product.
• Must understand E-Stat application and when not to use.
• Responsible for training and all other painters and communicating with them daily
• Full understanding of paint kitchens and set up.
• Can paint in any booth and setup for any color as needed.
• Rebuild and/or repair painting equipment on an entry level basis.
• Performs mill checks as needed toinsureproper application is met.
• Other duties as assigned

• Must possess working knowledge of paint booth.
• Have ability to change over color modules for paint booths.
• Possess troubleshooting skills
• Must be able to read and understand bill of material.
• Complete understanding of coating process and the technology with it.
• Good communication skills and must be able to answer all technical questions about the process.

• Ability to effectively train, coordinate and communicate with all departments

Education / Training Required

• Internal training per standard operating procedures and training sheet (Standard Work Instructions)
• Forklift license
• 1-3years experienceas entry level painter
