Job summary

Engineered Cabs in Greeneville, TN is seeking an entry-level painter to join our paint team. You will be cross trained across the paint process, train new painters, and perform touch-up duties as needed.

You must follow standard work guidelines, maintain cycle times, operate in booths with fresh air hoods, and assist with upkeep and 6S housekeeping. This role offers hands-on training and opportunities to grow within our manufacturing operation.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of paint booth operations and safety.
• Ability to read and interpret a bill of materials.
• Solid understanding of coating processes and related technology.
• Clear communication and ability to train others.
• Coordinate with multiple departments to maintain workflow.

Responsibilities

• Follow standard work guidelines and meet cycle times.
• Perform paint flush and maintain booth setup for color changes.
• Participate in preventative maintenance and 6S housekeeping.
• Ensure proper lighting and airflow parameters before painting.
• Train and communicate with other painters daily.
• Rebuild or repair painting equipment at entry level as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Key Position Results

• Cross trained in 100% of every part of the paint process
• Complete full training of all new painters
• Can perform touch – up duties

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Understands that the utilization of fresh air hoodsmust be used at all timeswhen painting in a booth or inside of our paint kitchen areas.
• Must demonstrate and maintain standard work guidelines while meeting established cycle times.
• Must understand and perform the paint flush process.
• Must participate in preventative maintenance activities.
• Must participate in daily housekeeping and 6s projects to maintain an orderly work area.
• Mustinsureproper lighting and airflow parameters are met prior to painting product.
• Must understand E-Stat application and when not to use.
• Responsible for training and all other painters and communicating with them daily
• Full understanding of paint kitchens and set up.
• Can paint in any booth and setup for any color as needed.
• Rebuild and/or repair painting equipment on an entry level basis.
• Performs mill checks as needed toinsureproper application is met.
• Other duties as assigned

Critical Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• Must possess working knowledge of paint booth.
• Have ability to change over color modules for paint booths.
• Must be able to read and understand bill of material.
• Complete understanding of coating process and the technology with it.
• Good communication skills and must be able to answer all technical questions about the process.
• Ability to effectively train, coordinate and communicate with all departments

Education / Training Required

• Internal training per standard operating procedures and training sheet (Standard Work Instructions)
• 1-3years experienceas entry level painter
