Job summary

Glanbia Dairy Nutrition is seeking a Packaging Operator to oversee packaging of powder and perform routine quality checks. You will operate and adjust packaging modules, verify fill rates, and ensure bags and conveyors are cleaned and inspected in real time.

The role emphasizes adherence to food safety, sanitation, and sustainability practices, with safety at the forefront and teamwork to improve area metrics. Weekend shifts and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual tasks safely.
• Ability to read and comprehend text and numbers, perform basic math, and use measuring instruments.
• Forklift experience is preferred or can be trained.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision and strong safety awareness.
• Able to read and write instructions in English and communicate verbally.

Responsibilities

• Packages powder, seals bags, and stacks on pallets.
• Troubleshoots equipment and follows live operation procedures (LOTO, checks).
• Sets up packaging modules by recipes; adjusts fill rates and sealer heights in real time.
• Restacks and re-bags powder as needed.
• Performs cleaning and sanitation with chemicals per procedures and SDS.
