Job summary

Fujifilm Biosciences in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a Powder Milling & Cleaning Tech to mill powdered media and clean milling equipment. First shift runs 5:00 am to 1:30 pm and requires strict adherence to safety, cGMPs, and quality controls.

You will operate milling systems, manage batch records, collect samples for QC, and help maintain supplies and documentation. This role emphasizes teamwork, precision, and a proactive approach to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Background in medical devices, diagnostics, food/vitamin processing, or pharmaceuticals.
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience.
• General education about chemicals and proper handling (college level science preferred).
• Working knowledge of metric system; good understanding of cGMPs.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English; strong written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Safely and effectively operates milling systems (impact, ball, jar mills) and large volume blender.
• Uses SAP ERP with Mettler-Toledo IND780 for batch weighing accuracy.
• Performs line clearance at milling start and prepares samples for QC.
• Maintains logs, labels chemicals properly, and keeps equipment clean and organized.
• Orders supplies as needed and follows 6S program; adheres to safety procedures.
