RJ Lee Group is seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician I for our Powder Metals laboratory team. You will prepare metal powder samples, operate instruments, collect data, and maintain equipment in accordance with quality and safety standards.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, scientific rigor, and collaboration with analysts, scientists, and project managers on testing projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher preferred in a relevant scientific field
• Experience with sample preparation, materials characterization, or laboratory testing is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare powder metal samples for testing following established procedures
• Perform grinding, sieving, blending, weighing, mounting, and other preparation techniques
• Conduct routine physical and chemical testing of metals, alloys, and related materials
• Record, review, and organize analytical data in laboratory information systems and client reports
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment
• Follow SOPs, QA protocols, and safety requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment
• Assist analysts, scientists, and project managers with testing projects
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality
• Communicate testing schedules and sample status with lab personnel
