Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC seeks a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician I for the Powder Metals lab in the Pittsburgh metro area. This role supports preparation, characterization, and testing of metal powders using standard lab methods.

The ideal candidate has a scientific background, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow SOPs, maintain equipment, and document data; onsite role with PPE required and a 6-month contract-to-perm.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field.
• Experience with sample preparation or materials characterization is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for testing using established procedures.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments.
• Record and organize analytical data in laboratory information systems.
• Follow SOPs, QA protocols, and safety requirements.
• Assist analysts, scientists, and project managers with testing projects.
