Job summary

STULZ is seeking a manufacturing technician to apply protective and decorative powder finishes to metal components. You will operate pretreatment, drying, powder application, and curing processes while following safety, quality, and production standards.

You will report to the foreman and coordinate workflow with assistants. Responsibilities include reviewing work orders and specs, performing startup checks, monitoring baths and temperatures, and ensuring proper grounding and contamination

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Powder coating experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read work orders, SDS, and TDS.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders, drawings, finish specs, SDS and TDS to ensure correct part identification and quality checks.
• Perform startup checks of guards, emergency stops, ventilation, grounding, hoses and fire-systems.
• Monitor pretreatment bath/rinse conditions and verify dry, clean parts and proper loads.
• Operate automatic and manual electrostatic application within approved recipes and settings, ensuring proper grounding and workflow coordination.
• Monitor curing oven/conveyor settings and verify cure and film quality; segregate defects and arrange rework.
• Perform changeovers, replenishment, cleaning and shutdown; document readings, lot numbers, and downtime.
