Job summary

American Tin Ceilings in Leominster, MA is seeking a powder coat operator to support high-volume color runs. You will manually and automatically apply dry powder, set spray settings to match product specs, load and unload parts, and coordinate with the team to meet daily goals.

The role requires 2+ years of related experience, knowledge of paint application and warehouse procedures, strong organization, and the ability to stand for long periods while lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years related work experience.
• Knowledge of wet or dry paint application & warehouse procedures.
• Possess organizational, problem solving and time management skills.
• Capability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manual application of dry powder to product for color runs.
• Understand and set spray settings to match product and color requirements.
• Setup and monitor automatic application of dry powder to product for high volume color.
• Load and unload part pieces to continuous conveyor.
• Stack & match job routers with product as parts are loaded and unloaded.
• Follow necessary preventive maintenance.
• Assist in maintaining the order, cleanliness and efficiency of the warehouse.
• Manage workflow and work alongside other powder coat associates to meet daily & monthly goals.
• Orchestrate daily coating timetable to ensure all orders are prepared in time for packaging while keeping plant managers abreast of any possible bottleneck or potential failure for the day.
• Maintain supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipate needed supplies.
• Perform cycle counts, restock shelving with products and maintain organization of inventory.
• Manage inventory and recommend restocking purchases when applicable.
• Ensure quality and process procedures are followed.
• Perform final visual inspection, verification and count prior to signoff.
• Document any shortages and correspond with appropriate personnel regarding such issues.
