Job summary

Peerless-AV® is seeking a Powder Coat Technician to support finishing operations, ensuring high-quality coating application and efficient paint line performance. Hours are Monday - Friday, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm, with overtime and weekend potential.

The role focuses on applying powder coating to parts, preparing for color changes, monitoring coating quality, performing basic chemical testing, and maintaining coating materials inventory.

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: 1+ year of powder coating or industrial painting experience
• Preferred: Experience in a manufacturing or production setting
• Preferred: Familiarity with coating quality standards and processes

Responsibilities

• Apply powder coating to parts in a high-mix, fast-paced production environment
• Prepare equipment and parts for color changes between batches
• Monitor coating quality including appearance, adhesion, and cure
• Perform basic chemical testing to maintain process standards
• Track and maintain inventory of coating materials
• Communicate effectively with team members and Paintline leadership
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Support departmental KPIs related to quality and efficiency
• Assist with other duties as needed
