Job summary

Central Moloney is seeking a Painter for our Transformer AR location. This role involves surface preparation, powder-coating application, equipment setup, curing process monitoring, and quality inspection to meet specifications.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, experience in powder coating or industrial painting, and strong attention to detail. OSHA-safe work practices and teamwork are essential in our fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous powder-coating, industrial painting, or similar manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and coating requirements.
• Familiarity with powder-coating equipment and processes preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to make routine equipment adjustments.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal surfaces for coating, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and other required surface-preparation activities.
• Operate powder-coating equipment to apply coatings in accordance with established specifications and work instructions.
• Set up and adjust coating equipment and application parameters as required for assigned production work.
• Monitor the curing process and associated equipment to ensure coated components meet established requirements.
• Load, position, handle, and move components and materials as required throughout the coating and finishing process.
• Inspect coated components for coverage, finish, thickness, and other applicable quality requirements; identify and report defects or nonconforming conditions.
• Perform routine operator-level equipment checks, cleaning, and basic maintenance activities as authorized.
• Maintain required coating materials, supplies, and equipment necessary to support production activities.
• Complete and maintain required production, material, and quality documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all applicable safety, environmental, work instructions, and PPE requirements.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet safety, quality, and production goals.
