Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. in Hesston, KS, is hiring a Powder Coating Associate for 2nd shift (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM). The role offers pay starting at $19.24/hour plus $2 shift differential, totaling $21.24/hour, with a comprehensive benefits package.

You will operate powder coating equipment, inspect parts for quality, and prepare surfaces for coating, contributing to the efficiency of our production team.

Qualifications

• High School / GED diploma preferred (required to maintain the pre-treatment system only).
• Ability to comply with safety standards (full body Tivex suits, air purifying respirator).
• Technical ability to escalate issues when identified.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual electrostatic guns to apply powder to parts (≈35%).
• Operate, monitor and maintain equipment (≈20%).
• Inspect parts for quality and perform liquid touch-ups as needed.
• Protect unpainted areas with plugs/caps and blow off water from pre-treatment.
• Prepare parts for powder recoat by sanding surfaces.
