Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a Powder Coating Associate for the 2nd shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM) in Hesston, KS. The role pays $19.24/hour with a $2 shift differential, totaling $21.24/hour.

Join a global leader known for DEWALT, CRAFTSMAN, STANLEY, and BLACK+DECKER brands and contribute to a high-precision powder coating process. You will operate powder coating equipment, inspect parts, and ensure safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School / GED diploma preferred (required to maintain the pre-treatment system only).
• Ability to comply with safety standards (full body Tivex suits, air purifying respirator).
• Technical ability to escalate issues when identified.
• Able to follow standard work as trained by a supervisor or OpEx lead.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual electrostatic guns to apply powder to parts.
• Operate, monitor and maintain coating equipment and ovens.
• Inspect parts for quality and perform touch-up as needed.
• Apply and remove plugs/caps to protect unpainted areas.
• Prepare parts for powder recoat by sanding surfaces.
