Job summary

PPG Industries is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee powder coating manufacturing on a 6PM–6AM, 4-day schedule, on site in Gainesville, TX. You will ensure safety, quality, and on-time production while supporting customer requirements.

You will lead a shift team, manage staffing to meet the production plan, and drive continuous improvement initiatives using LSS tools. Strong safety culture and coaching are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate’s degree preferred, must begin approved program within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a focus on safety and risk reduction.
• Maintain shop-floor presence and engage with the team.
• Guide and set priorities to meet the production schedule; plan staffing to ensure schedule adherence.
• Address shift-change issues and overlapping problems.
• Provide meaningful performance feedback to the team.
• Manage team performance across EHS, quality, production; coach as needed.
• Lead investigations using LSS tools to determine causes and mediate.
• Ensure work instructions are current and accurate.
• Coordinate participation in continuous improvement efforts related to EHS, productivity, quality and reliability.
