Job summary

GNB Global seeks a Powder Coat Supervisor to oversee the powder coating department at our Texas facility. You will supervise daily operations, ensure production schedules are met, and maintain high quality standards.

You will train technicians, enforce safety policies, coordinate with other departments, and drive continuous improvement. The role requires hands-on leadership and a strong powder coating background with the ability to read production schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of powder coating experience in manufacturing.
• 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
• Experience operating electrostatic powder coating systems.
• Knowledge of surface preparation, coating applications, and curing processes.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and production schedules.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily powder coating operations and department employees.
• Train, coach, and mentor powder coat technicians.
• Ensure proper surface preparation, powder application, curing, and inspection.
• Verify coating thickness, adhesion, finish quality, and product specifications.
• Troubleshoot coating defects and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure department follows all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations.
• Perform daily quality inspections and maintain production records.
• Coordinate routine equipment maintenance and report repair needs.
• Monitor powder inventory and material usage.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Shipping departments.
• Lead daily shift meetings and communicate production priorities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
