Job summary

You will ensure required film thickness and cosmetic quality of steel and aluminum parts, maintaining high standards and productivity. The role requires attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced job-shop, and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in powder coating painting.
• Good knowledge of mechanics and repair of painting equipment.
• Knowledge wash and pretreatments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all parts are properly painted and work instructions are followed precisely.
• Operate all coating equipment including guns, hoppers, and booth collection systems.
• Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects.
• Determine flow and coating quality by performing visual inspections.
• Bake parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitations.
• Ensure that all components are produced/coated efficiently and are consistent with company established goals for quality and on-time performance.
• Ensure safety guidelines are being met to assure a safe work environment.
• Ensure proper cleaning by removing waste powder and maintenance of equipment.
• Train new associates powder coating operations and techniques.
• Every employee has the right and obligation to stop any process or job, and immediately notify their supervisor if they deem it does not meet the quality requirements or is unsafe.
• Perform other duties as assigned
