Job summary

Jensen Metal Products Inc. is seeking a Powder Coat Painter II to join our production team in Wisconsin.

You will safely set up and operate powder application equipment on a moving conveyor line, painting steel and aluminum components to achieve required film thickness and cosmetic quality. Responsibilities include following work instructions, operating guns, hoppers and booths, inspecting coating quality, baking parts to spec, and maintaining safe, clean processes while training new associates

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ powder coating painting experience.
• Knowledge of painting equipment mechanics.
• Knowledge of wash and pretreatments.

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions to ensure parts are painted correctly.
• Operate coating equipment including guns, hoppers, and booth systems.
• Monitor gauges and detect defects.
• Perform visual coating quality inspections.
• Bake parts at appropriate temperatures within time limits.
• Maintain safety and clean up waste powder.
• Train new associates in powder coating operations.
• Stop unsafe processes and notify supervisor if quality or safety is at risk.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
