Job summary

Mi Tek Houston is seeking a skilled Painter to prepare surfaces, apply liquid paint or powder coatings, and inspect finished parts to meet quality and safety standards. You will operate finishing equipment, load parts, and support the finishing department to maintain production flow.

Responsibilities include surface preparation, coating application, equipment operation, and performing quality inspections while following safety procedures. A high level of attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• 1-2 years related experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Operate finishing equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Examine workpieces for defects and measure to specifications.
• Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, blasting, wire brushing, masking, or other approved methods.
• Load, unload, position, align, and secure parts on racks, fixtures, conveyors, or workstations.
• Apply coatings using liquid paint and/or powder coating processes while maintaining quality and productivity.
• Monitor parts to ensure proper spacing, orientation, and curing.
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, drawings, specifications, and production schedules.
