Job summary

Chief Fabrication in Grand Island, NE is seeking a full-time Powder Coat support role. Responsibilities include preparing parts, masking, hanging, and staging materials to keep the powder coat process efficient and on schedule.

The position involves inspecting coated parts for defects, maintaining safety procedures, and supporting operators and coworkers to uphold quality and productivity. GED or high school diploma preferred, with 1–3 years of powder coat exposure.

Qualifications

• Powder coat experience or background preferred.
• Ability to inspect coated parts for defects and ensure quality standards.
• Follows safety procedures and keeps work areas organized.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts for powder coating (cleaning, masking, hanging).
• Set up load/unload areas to be ergonomic for hanging and unloading.
• Inspect coated parts for defects and uneven finishes.
• Train and guide coworkers on safety, quality, and powder coat standards.
• Collaborate with supervisor to optimize the process.
