Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, sandblasting, masking, and degreasing.
  • Apply powder coatings using electrostatic spray guns and ensure even coverage.
  • Inspect finished parts for coating thickness, adhesion, and overall quality.

Job description

Legacy Talent Search is hiring a Powder Coat Painter in Clackamas. This company has built an excellent name for itself over the years and has grown to be a leader in its industry. Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare metal surfaces bycleaning, sandblasting, masking, and degreasingbefore powder coating.
  • Applypowder coatingsusingelectrostatic spray gunsand ensure even coverage.
  • Operate and maintainovens, spray booths, and powder coating equipment.
  • Inspect finished parts forcoating thickness, adhesion, and overall quality.
  • Adjust application techniques to achievedesired texture, color, and finish.
  • Followsafety procedures and environmental guidelineswhen handling chemicals and coatings.
  • Maintain aclean and organized work area, ensuring proper storage of coatings and tools.
  • Troubleshootequipment malfunctions and coating defectsto optimize production.
  • Work closely with fabricators and production teams to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proven experienceas a Powder Coater or in an industrial painting role.
  • Knowledge ofpowder coating techniques, curing processes, and finishing standards.
  • Ability to use and maintainelectrostatic spray guns, ovens, and masking tools.
  • Familiarity withmetal fabrication and surface preparation methods.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Ability to lift50+ lbsand work in afast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience readingwork orders, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Forklift certification (preferred but not required).
