2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM with OT, Monday - Friday ***Daily Overtime and Saturday Overtime based on business needs***

Starting Wage: $21.25/hr + 13% shift premium

PAINTER II: Painter II is expected to safely complete supervised powder coat paint established procedures, processes, or policies. Painter II also has the ability to complete supervised maintenance activity. Painter can safely and efficiently load and unload raw parts from the paint line and/or perform the powder coat paint process. The Painters are expected to move efficiently and safely with the end result being a ready to use part or assembly.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and/or 1 year of powder coat painting or related experience
  • Able to pass a respiratory questionnaire and wear air hood (PPE requirement)
  • Internal: Demonstrated Painter II competency & ability to pass a pulmonary function test. (PPE requirement)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience with powder paint systems
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
75%:
  • Maintain clean work environment
  • Constantly work in a high heat environment
  • Perform work duties in a safe manner and in accordance with policy (including wearing required proper personal protective equipment (including tyvek suit when painting and bump cap when in paint area), work habits and performing appropriate housekeeping duties)
  • Other duties assigned
PAINTER II:
  • Perform cleaning and other preliminary operations to prepare materials for coating
  • Perform painting operation in paint booth
  • Assist with maintaining of paint equipment
  • Loading, transferring, and unloading parts from paint line
  • Process each part by hanging/racking to paint application
25%:
PAINTER I (Paint Hanger)/PAINTER II:
  • Perform stock handling duties as required
  • Maintain proper counts & report all scrap
  • Exchange and break down racks and prepare for burn off
  • Inspect quality of parts before and after finishing process
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
