Job summary

SMF is seeking an experienced Powder Coat Painter for the 2nd and 3rd shifts to join our Minonk, IL manufacturing team. You will prepare parts, apply powder coatings, cure finishes, and inspect outcomes to ensure top-quality results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in powder coat painting.
• Completion of safety, quality, and production training.

Responsibilities

• Clean metal parts using hand and power tools to remove slag or debris.
• Wash parts in a booth or with chemical solvents to prepare for coating.
• Mask, sand, and hang parts in preparation for powder application.
• Apply powder coating in paint booth, ensuring consistent quality.
• Operate and maintain cure ovens as per specifications.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Accurately record labor and production data.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE.
