Job summary

Strong Hold in Louisville, KY, is seeking a Powder Coat Painter for the 2nd shift (Mon–Thu, 5:00pm–3:30am). You will prepare surfaces, mix coatings, and apply protective finishes to manufactured products in a fast-paced plant environment.

The role requires prior powder coat painting experience, ability to read blueprints, and use of spray equipment. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing powder coat painting.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency with industrial paint machinery and understanding of coatings.
• Ability to read technical blueprints.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift materials.

Responsibilities

• Surface preparation: Clean, sand, mask, blast, and de-grease components for proper paint adhesion.
• Apply paints, epoxies, urethanes, or powder coatings using spray equipment, brushes, or rollers.
• Set up and operate automated coating systems, spray guns, or paint booth systems.
• Inspect finished products for defects; ensure coating thickness and color accuracy meet specs.
• Maintain clean equipment and follow PPE, ventilation, and hazardous materials handling rules.
