MWG is seeking to hire a Powder Coater for our Pippin Location!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the quality of the painting process.
- Operate the paint booth with a full understanding of powder coating techniques and equipment, including cleaning and monitoring the equipment.
- Set up and operate both the dry off and cure ovens, recording settings accurately.
- Record and document powder usage at the end of each production run.
- Log in and log out of jobs accurately and promptly.
- Optimize the painting process to improve throughput and efficiency.
- Perform clean-ups and changeovers in a timely manner, ensuring the booth and equipment are properly cleaned before setup.
- Clean paint booth trays at the end of each shift.
- Store all paints properly to prevent cross-contamination and ensure unused paints are stored correctly at the end of runs.
- Adjust equipment as needed to reduce powder paint overuse.
- Report any gun maintenance issues to the Line Leader or Supervisor promptly.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The employee will work indoors in an industrial manufacturing environment, exposed to noise levels requiring hearing protection, moving equipment, and mechanical parts. These characteristics are typical of the environment encountered while performing essential job functions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in powder coating for 1-3 years, with knowledge of quality requirements.
- Licenses and certifications: None required.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
