Hamilton by Gunnebo in Milford, OH is seeking a Powder Coat Paint Specialist to prepare, coat, and finish metal components using powder coating systems. The role emphasizes attention to detail, safety, and production efficiency in a manufacturing setting.

The position offers a swing shift (3-day, 12-hour shifts) with pay ranging from $19 to $21 per hour, and requires a high school diploma or GED plus 1–2 years of related experience. Forklift experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of powder coating/industrial painting or related manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of powder coating processes, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to read work instructions, drawings and product specs.
• Experience using mil thickness gauges for measurements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal parts for powder coating through cleaning, masking, blasting, and pretreatment.
• Operate powder coating equipment, spray guns, curing ovens, and associated production equipment.
• Apply powder coatings according to color, thickness, and quality specs.
• Inspect coated parts for defects, coverage, adhesion, and finish quality.
• Verify coating thickness using appropriate testing and measuring equipment.
• Load and unload materials from paint lines and curing ovens.
• Perform color changes and clean equipment between production runs.
