Job summary

Standard Iron is seeking a dependable Finisher to join our Powder Coat Paint Department. You will prepare metal parts, perform finishing operations, and conduct quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within a 4-day shift schedule.

We offer competitive wages from $20.00 to $28.00 per hour, with a $1,000 hiring bonus paid over the first year, plus job growth opportunities and benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and production documentation.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and prepare metal parts for the powder coating process by removing burrs, sharp edges, weld splatter, and other imperfections.
• Use hand and power tools to smooth surfaces and prepare parts according to quality specifications.
• Carefully inspect parts before and after finishing to identify defects or areas needing additional work.
• Ensure all parts meet quality standards before moving to the next stage of production.
• Safely move, organize, and prepare parts and materials for the powder coating process.
