Carpenter Co. seeks a 1st Shift Pouring Line Engineer at our Riverside, CA plant. This entry-level role includes extensive training in polyurethane slab stock production and supervision of hourly staff.

You will liaise with management and production teams to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement. The position requires a B.S. in Chemical, Chemistry, or Mechanical Engineering, 6–12 months of experience, and a hands-on, team-focused approach in a lean manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Six months to one year of experience.
• Willingness to work as a team member in a hands-on production environment.
• Ability to work autonomously and apply lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct supervision of hourly production personnel.
• Maintain daily communication with department management and plant personnel.
• Support supervision of production and personnel functions within the department.
• Help optimize material, machine, and manpower usage to ensure quality output.
