Job summary

Foster Farms is seeking a Ranch Supervisor in California to oversee production, brooding, and vaccination crews. The role requires at least one year in chicken-raising and completion of the Grow Out Training Program, with strong supervisory and leadership abilities.

You will manage costs, maintain records, and ensure strict sanitation and animal welfare standards. Live on company-provided housing is required; overtime, evenings, holidays, and weekends may be scheduled.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of chicken-raising experience and completion of Chicken Grow Out Training Program.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must possess supervisory and leadership skills.
• Good mathematical and organizational abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills (Basic English).
• Must be able to move and lift 25 pounds.
• Willing to live on company-provided housing and respond to alarms/adverse conditions.
• Able to work overtime, evenings, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production on the ranch including set-up/clean-up, brooding, vaccination crews, and maintenance.
• Coordinate with feed mill dispatchers, drivers, and field supervision.
• Maintain ranch conditions, sanitation, and reporting of health issues to the Field Supervisor.
• Manage and control ranch production costs including labor, fuel, supplies, and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of activities (feed, mortality, fuel, production, energy).
• Provide training and delegate duties to ranch personnel; enforce safety and animal-welfare guidelines.
