Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Production Hourly team member to join the processing line, performing cutting, trimming, packaging, and inspection to meet USDA standards. You’ll operate equipment, keep a clean area, and follow safety and biosecurity guidelines.

This fast-paced, hands-on role requires reliability, willingness to learn, and teamwork. Schedule: 1st shift Mon–Fri, 7:40am–5:45pm, with some weekend work; base pay $18.50/hour. Benefits after 60 days include vision, medical, and dental.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: Poultry or food industry experience is a plus.
• Skills: multitask, fast-paced, good communication, and teamwork.
• Physical: able to stand 8–11 hours, lift 50 lbs, work in cool temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Process poultry products using tools, manual labor, and equipment per USDA and Pilgrim’s standards.
• Monitor equipment operation and report malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area following safety and food safety guidelines.
• Support team by sharing skills and promoting a positive work atmosphere.
• Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
• Perform other duties to meet production and quality goals.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working in different production areas.
