Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. in Springdale, AR is seeking a Senior Food Scientist to develop and commercialize poultry products and processes from concept to full production. You will lead experiments, write specifications, and ensure labeling and food safety compliance with cross-functional teams.

The role requires collaboration across marketing, insights, sales, culinary, FSQA and operations, with travel up to 25% and relocation support available.

Qualifications

• Education in food science or related field with significant R&D experience.
• 8+ years of relevant Research and Development work experience.
• No degree with extensive industry experience may be considered in some cases.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with marketing, insights, sales, culinary, FSQA and operations across development projects.
• Develop product specifications, labeling, and cost analyses for new products.
• Lead cook validations and scale-up from pilot to full production facilities.
• Plan experiments, analyze data, and report results to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with suppliers and production facilities to start up new processes.
• Travel to plant facilities up to 25% as needed.
